Now after being cajoled by several of you fellow GLOBO's I have decided that I shall put pen to paper and enter this "mountain" report contest. It is some 30 years since I last climbed mountains by the tough route I am ashamed to say! Yes and black and white pics were then the norm ;-) However, I thought of poor Andreas spending all those Globo Euro's on a nifty back pack and no takers was just too much ingratitude! So I have started my search of pictures and I visited Cape Town last year and I may be able to just about qualify - because I have two (maybe wrong size though) pictures of Table Mountain. Anyway - I hope now that I am taking the plunge, without the necessary material already to hand, that all you other Globo's will join in the spirit of things and take up Andy's challenge. I know that it is a busy period to submit something before the January deadline but I think the least we can do to thank Andy for all his efforts on introducing this new mountain database is to encourage its use.
