I cannt find any place on the web that does the same for travel videos! Does anyone? Suggested is a site where one could also upload good amateur clips (say only 9-59 seconds) of travel experiences. GLOBOsapiens only probem was storagespace, now solved by more efficiant harddrives, MEMBERS only problem was editing and video-capture, solved by PC-cards and software. This is due to high bandwith costs. To distribute a video you need way more money than advertisement on this particular video section can bring, not to forget the amount of hard disc space and processor power you need to store and even more relevant to backup the system. Therefore it is just a financial issue, not a technical. I have http://www.youtube.com/user/rangutan3 It is easy to share videos there with the option "collaborate". membership is automatic if you have a Google user account. I think videos are a time killer but the uploads are limited to 10 minutes anyway. Links directly back to GLOBOsapiens.net could be included to promote this website. I would be willing to moderate such a portal.
