Lehmann's Herberge (1*)
Lehmann's Herberge is right in the centre of Grindelwald. When leaving the staion walk straight on, past the Sports Centre. On the right you will see a sign with the hotel's name. A steep path leads down and the hotel is on your right. Lehmann's is an old chalet with wide views of the valley and the Eiger.
Our room had a double bed and a bunk bed. Other rooms have two or three bunk beds. All in all there are 28 beds. The breakfast room doubles as lounge.
Next to our room was a communal area with a telephone, table and chairs, small fridge, microwave, water boiler and plates and cutlery. There is also a hairdryer.
Strongly recommended. Double room at €50 (2007)
