Royal River
Admittedly intended to be attractive to westerners, this hotel is right on the river, offers a free river shuttle to the main shopping district several times a day, but better yet, is right next to a river bus dock that has boats coming and going at 10 or 15 minute intervals. ****, but because it is on the "wrong" side (Thonburi) of the river, is very reasonable. We walked around safely until quite late at night, there were many conveniences, including massage, close by and the location is quiet - good thing after loud bustling Bangkok!
