when u arrive there first , u thing what a place it is , crowdy- hassel. but after sometime u see its a genuine old one. when we go there last time its a winter time. but not so cool. we r lucky to find such a weather.
i was there several times for my business purpose. i like it to much for people. everywhere u see tourist people. u find many old buildings in old calcutta. all r made during british period. people r very friendly with tourist. but all time careful about ur impoetent things, specially when u r in a public place.
Favourite spots:
u have to see victoria memorial hall, with nice garden, meausium. u see several temple specially galighat, u go besides ganga river, there boat riding is fantastic during evening time. better u check all attaction through google.
What's really great:
i like people, food, ganga river boat riding. actually it depends on ur mentality what u choose to spent ur time.
Accommodations:
u find cheap hotel near new market ,kyds street, kitwari roads, benting street. here u find all attraction near ur hotel. if u want standerd accomodation there r lot of luxury hotel, park royal, many more. if u want isolated place means guest house its also there in a variety.
Nightlife:
there r many clubs, but all r not standard. if u want disco, night club there r little option for u. if u want take drink to seat down a quiet place u find lot of place.
Hangouts:
i have no idea about pubs. but hope if u try little bit u find ur place.
Restaurants:
there r lot of restuarent for eating. u find wide range for dining there. u go nirab hotel, khaleq hotel.
