Some years ago our school went on an exchange programme with a school from Krakau, Poland. Every student stayed with a Polish one for a week and vice versa. It is the best way to really get to know Poland. Poland is an Roman Catholic country, the pope is Polish, which you see everywhere. There are many nice churches to visit in Krakau, none of them I know by name anymore sorry for that! The city center of Krakau is very beautiful, it has many old buildings and some nice new shops. Just a little outside of Krakau there’s a sculpture of the symbol of Krakau the dragon, it’s a nice sculpture of which you can buy miniatures almost everywhere! As we were in an exchange program, the Polish students showed us around which was perfect to see all the great things.

The best spot of Krakau was the center, it has many shops and beautiful buildings. Next to market square there’s a nice mall special for tourist, as it seems, where you can buy nice souvenirs.

| What's really great: |
|
The beauty of the city is great, it has so many old fashioned buildings that will be to many to describe here I guess. Go to market square and from there you can find what you want.

| Accommodations: |
|
We stayed at the homes of a Polish student, which was great to get to know the way of life there. We also got nice Polish food, which often does not look attractive but tastes very good!
