Going to NY in mid July for 3-4 days

I love to walk everywhere, eat good food (whether basic or high-end or anything in between), music, shows, museums, whatever. I'm not looking for romance, etc., I've got it. That sounds great - sorry I haven't checked this for a bit. I'm actually from Montreal (born, raised) but live in Toronto currently. What kind of things would you like to do? I'm really open to anything, I'd like to look around anywhere - lots of nice places to visit and things to do. Let me know! And I have to admit I'm a sucker for SATC so would love to do that tour. I'm travelling on a budget so high-end restaurants are not on my list of to-do's. I do prefer markets and eating from street vendors (not hot dogs etc.), corner shop bakeries and cafes etc. I would like to see MOMA, probably for half a day. But really looking to just see the city, not really in a touristy way. I'm not big on sight seeing.
