Last summer I took my first overseas trip to the country of Japan. Having made the decision to take such a journey, and a spontaneous one at that, and not knowing hardly anything about Japan left alot open for discovery. In the five weeks that I lived there, with a friend of mine, I became immersed within a culture that I found to be inextricably beautiful, peaceful and above all : simple. I can hardly even begin to describe what Japan is really like, other than saying that if you yearn to know a place where your mind, heart, and soul will find true peace and content, then Japan is the country to go.
