so I have been here more than two weeks and haven't seen any tourist attraction, yet....but I wanna go the design museum and the sibelius monument next week....
so what did I do so far? went shopping (FORUM at Mannerheimintie, STOCKMANN and around), enjoyed the sauna and -typically finish- went drinking. But it is true, if you want to get to know Finish people, drink with them. once the ice is broken they are the nicest and kindest people....which doesn't mean that they are not nice when they are sober,but if sober, they are not that talkative...... so if you ever happen to be in helsinki looking for a decent place to have a beer go to base, a bar just off Mannerheimintie.....or visit finlands most popular rock club tavastia (Urho Kekkosen katu 4-6)....

hi,
today is my third day in helsinki and it's been great so far...I arrived on Thursday night ....after I had been traveling the whole day from Germany to Finland my friend met me at the train station and we went to her apartment...didn't do much that night. On the next day we went clothes shopping, which was sooo wonderful! I love scandinavia for its great taste of clothes and various other things, such as music, archtiecture, and design...it's awesome...
on Saturday night we went out and found ourselves in a cosy rock bar right in Helsinki's city center...the drinks weren't that expensive...and the music there was incredibly good! I enjoyed it very very much.....caught a glimpse of finnish drinking culture...wowhowhow!
