i have been in jiujiang, china for nearly a week now and i have spent most of my days thus far emailing my friends and relatives in the states, letting them know that i arrived safely. a few days ago, we went into the city and took pictures by the yangtze. the locals tell me that it is the third largest river in the world, i haven't fact checked that one as of yet, but it is massive and affords much transportation. i have pictures to upload, maybe this week. i am here to teach english at the jiujiang college of finance and economics, but due to the chinese new year on feb. 9th, the students will be done with their semester in a week and i am not due to teach classes until march. that should leave some time to travel and make these logs much more exciting for those that are interested. i should be visiting a buddhist temple this weekend, more to follow.
