Trinidad is located just north of Venezuela and is one of the best Caribbean holiday destinations. Maracas Bay is situated on the north coast and is the most popular beach on the island, especially with the locals and every weekend it’s the place to be and be seen. The drive through the forest is wonderful and there are many look-outs en route which provided outstanding views of the island and Atlantic Ocean. The coastal roads are very winding and have been the venue of a few accidents, but by and large, if visiting Trinidad, Maracas is a must. [edit text][editors]
