Travel guide to Piarco

Reminising of Carnival 2004

Piarco is a small village in the north east part of Trinidad, however it’s more known for being the home of the Island’s only international airport (Piarco International Airport). Recently rebuilt (resulting in many people being cleared from the land to make space for the new terminal), it lovely and boasts of being the only Caribbean airport that you don’t have to touch the tarmac to board aircrafts. The only disadvantage I see is that there isn’t many shops or restaurants on the landside. However on the airside, the duty free is quite nice, and there is a wide chose available.
