Travel guide to Black Rock
Pulling Seine
Pulling Seine
On the way to Plymouth you pass many little villages like Black Rock, which is situated on the coastal hills about a 20 minute driver from the airport heading west. It's quite a small village and if you blink too fast you'll miss it, but it has a large 5* hotel (Grafton Beach Resort) there as well as many other villas, guesthouses and restaurants.

Fort Bennett is a beautiful lookout which was built in 1778 by the British for protecting ships from American privateers as they loaded they Sugar. The Battery was used in combat in 1781 against the French who invaded the island.

Now the fort has a little gazebo where one can sit and not only admire the old guns of the battery but more readily enjoy the views over the Caribbean Sea and the lush gardens that surrounds it. [edit text]  [editors]
