Buccoo Bay is a small village located about 15/20 minutes from the airport. It doesn’t have a great beach, as it is more a place to purchase fresh fish on a daily basis.
The village springs to life every Sunday evening for Sunday school. This is no unique church functions, in fact it has little to do with the church at all, but on a Sunday night, the area is alive with music, dance, food, gambling, all the essentials to make up a great evening, and the best part is that it doesn’t finish until wee hours in the morning.
Also if you are on the island during Easter, make sure you go to Buccoo Bay for the annual Goat Race; it’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen (well except for the crab race), but it provides hours of entertainment. [edit text][editors]
