Thanks for the comment on Agrigento. I'm glad you liked the island when you'd come all that way - although I don't see how anybody could fail to like it.
I enjoyed reading your Scotland report some time ago - you may have noticed that i have done a lot of destination reports and travel tips for that lovely country.
Cheers, David

hi Mark,
Thank you for reading my Stonetown journal. I agree it's a good thing to know prices.
I have travelled quite a lot in developing countries and Zanzibar was a bit of a bad experience. the reason is that all the money foreigners spent doesn't go to them. Hotel owners are from mainland tanzania or kenya or the first world. Besides prices of the hotels are far too high for what you get. They are the same as level as e.g. D-class hotels in Greece. And I can tell you the hotels in greece are palaces compared to the htels in zanzibar

Hi Mark,

I read your article about Coober Pedy and had directly such a dusty feeling in my mouth... There was a report on German TV about the opal mines and the Underground Homes. Fascinating! Do you live in one of these homes?

Regards, Christian
