Travel guide to Abercastle

Abercastle has a good beach with a castle on a little island just outside but it's not particularly good for vehicular access as the parking is extremely restricted. This could appeal when picking a place to stay!
However the name of Abercastle is most usually associated with the Carreg Samson cromlech. The urls for this are all rather monstrous but put it in an engine and find the modern antiquarian site which has a number of excellent photos as well as information. With the possible exception of Pentre Ivan, this is the most spectacular prehistoric monument in the area. [edit text] [editors]
