The maze - Glendurgan Gardens
Even of those who reach Falmouth or Land's End, many may not have heard of this tiny village. It's not likely to hit the headlines too often because it's very small indeed, being sandwiched between the Helford river and the beautiful gardens of Glendurgan, owned by the National Trust and containing numerous plant specimens from far warmer countries.
At Durgan itself there are only a few cottages built [guess] at the turn of the 18th/19th centuries, some being now holiday cottages owned by the National Trust.
Whereas there is a road to Durgan - worth taking by the less firm - for those up to a fairly steep walk, it is well worth going via Glendurgan Gardens; you can leave the gardens and re-enter by another gate for your returrn. [edit text]  [editors]
