Travel guide to Keighley
Keighley [pronounced Keithley] is now part of Bradford Metropolitan District in West Yorkshire. It is, however, adjacent to good Yorkshire countryside and is on the railway line for the Settle-Carlisle scenic line, reached from Leeds or Bradford. by road it is accessible easily to Skipton and, via Addingham, to Wharfedale.
The museum of Cliffe castle is on a sloe above the Skipton road [see travel tip].
However probably Keighley's man claim to fame is that it's the etrminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Light Railway, a preserved steam line running through the Brontes' village of Haworth to Oxenhope. See its website [http://www.kwvr.co.uk/] for more detail. [edit text]  [editors]
