Puffin Island from Penmon Point

Penmon is a small village to the far east of the Isle of Anglessey. It is reached from the town of Beaumaris by an unclassified road that is subject to a toll beyond the village and leads to a point with views over tiny Puffin Island. There are a small lighthouse and a cafe.

In the vilage itself are the ruins of an old priory, a dovecote, a 5th century well and, in the church, a Saxon cross of about 1000 CE [edit text] [editors]
