The obvious problem in Cornwall generally is too much building to suit htose who have no personal need of it. St Buryan, being on neither coast, though near to both north and south coasts, has no such problem. Unlike Saint Just in Penwith [whose saint and St Buryan used to hurl rocks at each other, according to one legend] it doesn't have much by way of shops. However its church possesses the finest rood screen in the region and the vilage itself is very pleasing with tis old houses and alleyways.

Its pub, the King's Arms, has good home-made food and this includes some unusual and highly tasty soups. [edit text]  [editors]
