The beach is very near to Berwick-on-Tweed on the south side and, on a fine day, it provides a seascape stretching to Bamburgh Castle and the Holy Island [or Lindisfarne.]
The village is a very friendly place and has some fine Victorian houses on its broad Main Street. [edit text]  [editors]
