Straford-upon-Avon was the birth place of William Shakespeare and continues to represent his life and works; it’s so full of history. Every corner, from the little charming curiosity shops, the teahouses, its world-renowned theatres and many famous buildings including Anne Hathaway’s cottage.

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre offers wonderful productions of Shakespeare ‘s finest works but if you are planning a trip to the theatre then you must book in advance.

Around the town you will find picturesque buildings like Alveston Manor Hotel that are beautiful preserved half timbered Tudor houses, that adds so much character to the area.

Stratford is also conveniently located which allow exploration of neighbouring towns like Warwick and you can get to grips with Shakespeare’s country in other counties of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and even Oxfordshire.
