The Fox Theatre
The Fox Theatre is one of the main attractions to go to in Atlanta. It is pretty much the only theater in Atlanta. It was originally built as the Yaarab Temple Shrine Mosque. It had onion-shaped domes and a lavish interior. In the 30s, the money was running out. So the Shriners made a deal with William Fox to make a theater. The theater went through some hard times. But it survived the Great Depression and Atlanta's booming growth. Now it is mainly for viewing movies and on-tour Broadway shows. Now the pricing; the shows are very expensive. Book early to get the best deals. more

Sheraton Atlanta
The Sheraton in Atlanta is in the center of Atlanta. It is right next to the MARTA station (the subway/metro). It is also next to the Peachtree Center (a mall/office building like the Empire State Building or The Sears Tower) and many other places. It's a few blocks away from the Centennial Olympic Park, the Aquarium and nice and chic restaurants. It has a nice and modern lobby and lots of conference rooms in the back because Atlanta is the hub of business. The elevators are also nice. The pool is also nice too, but that's where it ends. The rooms are a little shabby and it has no tub. Some rooms do have balconies but the doors are broken and out of date. And the staff are almost completely incompetent. The rarely use English. But the decor and the famous, comfortable Sheraton beds are the main attractions of this hotel. more

Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium is a place of world records. It's the biggest aquarium in the world. It has the first whale shark outside of Asia. It's also the newest and cleanest aquariums I've been to. It opened in November 2005 and has been racking in the visitors since. It is mostly for young kids around seven but any age can learn something from this aquarium. It has five galleries with a different theme to them. One is about the marine life of Georgia and another is about tropical fish. It has food and its own theater in 3-D.The downside is the price and its value. It is twenty US dollars just to get in. You have to pay for the 3-D movie, which is like any other movie about oceans. All aquariums say to save the ocean, and think about what you’re doing. It’s not bad. It’s just getting a little tired after a while. The food is expensive too. It’s like cafeteria food. If you like little kids running and screaming for an expensive twenty dollars, then this place is for you. more

Mick's Restaurant
One of the best restaurants in Atlanta! There are different locations all over Metro Atlanta, but this is in the heart of it all. It is like a mix of 50s retro, 21st century modern, and 20s art deco. It has your basic americana food but with a contemporary and hot zest, such as the Jalepeño Burger. It tastes just like a burger but it has an almost cheesy jalepeño sauce to make it spicy. It is right across the street from a hospital, and Atlanta is known for its business and offices so it's a great watering hole for many lunch hour workers. It is a bit pricey but all cities are. It is a great restaurant. more

The Varsity
"What'll ya have, what'll ya have," is the greeting you'll hear when you walk into the downtown Atlanta location of The Varsity. This is one of those restaurants that is retro and serves the "old-fashioned" hamburgers. It has very good food. It has nice bathrooms (sometimes). It is notorious for its prices though. It is a bit pricey. They do have other locations, but this one is where most people go when they hear "The Varsity". You need to come here to have a complete trip to Atlanta. more
