Just south of Carmel lies Big Sur, a 90 mile stretch of nearly untouched coastline. Whether you choose a walk in the woods, through old growth Redwood (some of the tallest trees in the world) or a stroll on the ocean bluffs, Big Sur is a treat for the senses. Point Lobos, a rock pennisula poking out into the Pacific, offers whale watching almost year around, and some supendous cold water diving.
