Travel guide to Fairfax

Fairytale Forest

Just a bit north of San Francisco, tucked away between rolling hills of oak and evergreen forest, this funky, fun and friendly little town offers a lot for its size.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there's some great hiking, mountain biking and trail riding. Foodies can enjoy a wealth of delicious and unique eateries. And for those who enjoy shopping, or at least browsing, there are a number of local stores and boutiques you won't find anywhere else.

Despite all the tourist-worthy attractions, Fairfax still belongs to the locals, and a close-knit, spirited bunch they are. The community comes together for weekly farmer's markets, as well as annual parades and festivals. [edit text] [editors]
