This sleepy town, north of Atlanta, is in the center of Forsyth County. Cumming is booming with business. It has a Tyson chicken plant and its own newspaper. With all that business, no wonder Forsyth County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia. Since it is on the edge of Lake Sidney Lanier (Lake Lanier for short), there are water activites like you never imagined. Lake Lanier was made by damming the Chattahoochee River in the 50's. There were many acres of farmland lost but tourism sprung up. They call Cumming "The Gateway to Leisure Living" and it's so true. [edit text][editors]
