It is situated on top of cliffs with a great view of the sea. Comillas is a small seaside resort near Santander in Cantabria, Spain, which was very popular with the Spanish Aristocracy and well to do at the end of the C19 and early C20. There are quite a number of large houses built by for them during this period (including El Capricio by Gaudi). The "Gate for birds" (see another picture, is the entrance for the house in this picture.
