Perugia - Italy, Umbria Etruscan Arch or Augustus' Arch was built in the third century BC. It is one of Perugia's emblemetic monuments. The inscription from Emperor Augustus is still there, "Augusta Perusia". Perusia is the ancient name of Perugia. The gateway was also part of the Etruscan city walls.
