Munich, one of the most beautiful towns in Germany has a vivid outdoor scene. At the edge of the "English Garden City Park", next to Prinzregentenstraße there is a small bridge with a hell of a water wave! Locals and now even people from far away come for a fun ride on the river Eisbach. The wave is standing still on the same spot. There are some tools, to adjust it so the surfers can create their own wave in a way. I believe there is a wood in the water that depending on the angle is helping to shape the wave. As I was just reading today, the city is planing to create a whole river surf area at doors of Munich on the River Isar. There is already a second wave south in Munich, but that's really a local spot. Let's see if I can get some pix from there next time!
