On my flight back from Melbourne, Australia to Germany I had a two week free stop over in Thailand.
After reading a couple of reports on GLOBOsapiens.net I decided to visit the south of this fantastic country. I went kind of island hopping. A bus ride to Surathani from Bangkok costs about 400 Bath *12 Euro* and it takes you about 10 hours plus a 2 hour ferry ride *included*. I set of for Ko Samui on the east coast, went on to Ko Tao and then set over for the west coast.
On Ko Phi Phi you will find some great scenary is waiting. They shot the movie "the beach" on this island and there is definatelly a reason for this. After having enough of the masses, I set over for Ko Lanta and then back to Bangkok. Let me take you on a virtual journey around south Thailand. Lean back and enjoy the slide show.
