The holy baobab's by antonioagui

Iwol - Senegal, Tambacounda The inhabitants of Iwol are the descendents of those who fled the lands now belonging to Mali in the late 10th century in order to avoid converting to the muslim faith. Being followed , they arrived in this land where they settled by this baobab, which being magic allowed them to communicate with their ancestors, and with the help of some demons living in the nearby caves they managed to scape from their followers. During years they also had problems with the inhabitants of the closer areas, like the mountains in Guinea, but now that canibalism is over and animism is not practised as rigurously as in the last centuries, Iwol and the few a hundred inhabitants villages of Bedik culture around live in peace. The marabu told me that once every time all their ancestors souls still meet in the baobab and tell him how to guide and help the village with the help of the Chief.
