Bringin' home the cows's by aufgehts

Allgau - Germany, Bayern The Viehscheid is my favorite Bavarian festival. In Sept the locals give thanks to God for a safe and healthy year for the cows. Nearly every town has its own festival and the cows are brought down the mountains in small heards, decorated with extremely large bells and the Kranzkuh (lead cow, usually one of the larger ones or best milkers) with flowers and mirrors. And big beer tents! Any reason to drink beer at 8:00 am!
