Menerbes - France, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur Menerbe was made "famous" by the British author Peter Mail who bought a house in the village. Disappointingly his house is a rather ordinary 20th century construction on the edge of the village; his tales of French workmen have rather alienated him from the local population!!
