Mallorca - Spain The photo shows the shady courtyard of La Granja. On the left are wine barrels were you can have your very own wine tasting - there's a red and a dessert wine to choose from.
I can only recommend visiting La Granja. Yes, it is a popular tourist destination and can get busy, but if you pick your time right it's great. The old hacienda, which has been a farm and a convent in former incarnations, houses now one of the best folk museums I've ever seen.
There are dozens of rooms and workshops to visit and the attention to detail is second to none, from the kitchen to the children's playroom, the games room to the doctor's office. The olive mill and wine press in the cellar, the workshops of carpenters and waevers, the chapel and the 'torture chamber' with a selction of instruments used during the Inquisition.
