Bad Berleburg - Germany, Nordrhein-Westfalen In January 2007 Kyrill, one of the most powerful wind storms in over a century hit Central Europe with winds up tp 195 km/h. The region around Bad Berleburg (Wittgenstein) was hard hit and many of the woods were flattened completely. This is a photo of one of the many depots where the tree logs are stored. They are kept wet to prevent the wood from being attacked by insects and parasites.
