The Museo de Santa Cruz is accessed from the Plaza de Zocodover, which vies with the Plaza del Ayuntamiento to be considered the centre of Toledo.
It is regarded as Toledo's main museum, which has to make it somewhat special - and it is. The building is simply elegant, with a beautiful entrane and courtyard.
My own favourite displays were those in the industrail art section but the historic artefacts of different periods of the city's history run a close second.
