This is one of the most popular pubs in the Oxford city area. This is the only potential downside as it does get terribly crowded when the University is up.
It is beautifully situated by the river and if you eat or drink outside, you are likely to have the screaming of peacocks as an accompaniment.
It was built in the 12th century though it was not initially a pub.
The food is highly praised. As you can't book a table, early arrival might be advisable.
