Carmelita - Guatemala, Petén As we came off the trail from El Mirador (a 6 day trek on foot), a guide grabbed me by the arm and dragged me down to this cantina to have a Gallo, Guatemala's most famous beer. I quickly sized up the place and realized that I do not have the Spanish skills to get me any mess I might get into in such a place. To call it "sketchy" and a "dive" would be high praise!
