In playing the word association game, 'Geylang' traditionally invokes an emphatic 'Red Light', 'Sex' or 'Asian Hookers' (thanks to a vice crackdown, the area has been decidedly cleaned up.) I now associate 'Geylang' with 'Very good Beef Kway Teow'. Like many other of the places in the area, the restaurant only has open-air seating (which could be tricky given the sporadic rain storms that Singapore is known for), but that only adds to making your enjoying of a very tasty regional stir-fried noodle dish a more authentic Singaporean experience. Note that the chicken fried rice and a Tiger Beer is a nice addition to the meal (if you don't mind some extra carbs).
