Temple of the Inscriptions 02's by frenchfrog

Palenque - Mexico, Chiapas The Temple of the Inscriptions, with 26 metres high, it is one of the biggest Temple. This temple is dedicated to Pakal, unfortunately, visitors can no longer climb on the top of the Temple. It contains the tomb of Pakal who was buried in 683 AD. The nine platforms of the pyramid refer to the nine levels of the underground world was divided into according to the Mayan cosmology.
