Hi Martin,
Sorry about that advertisement. I have just deleted the posting. We do need more moderators for the forums.
Regards

Hi Andy
No need for excuses you can't see everything, that's what this intern talk forum is about too, isn't it.
About new moderators why don't we elect some new ones (you now I'm Swiss, direct democraty stuff... ;-) ) I suggest asking some members that are/have been quite active in the last few months: Britman, Farizan, Nedkelly, Spaceout

Lets give the guy a chance and some notes to improvements, Edigar hasnt logged off from his first visit yet! One needs quite some time to find out what is wanted and, importantly, what is not wanted at GLOBO.
By/after registration an email should be sent to new members explaining very simply what basic rules and quality are wished at GLOBO, also a list of tips on use and rating and a remark that unsuitable material could be removed by staff, already in the complicated legal "read this first" and "agree", which most dont read!
This is a travel community and not an exclusive club, I can live with the language barrier and would prefere more international diversity and competition, emphasis should be on pictures though, they say a thousand words in every language. The more diverse members, the more exotic and the pictures and reports we all get to see.
Hope Edigar edits and uploads some other stuff soon (and a picture of himself) --- Rudolf "Rangutan" Graspointner

Hi Rudi
I really like your open mindedness and approach to this site!
What I think the problem here is that he wrote down some probably useful information about his hometown but on the other hand is advertising his abilities as a guide.
Andy will not be very happy if all the tour guides of the world would do this kind of advertising. We need the real money from advertising in order to keep this community running and these "semi members" (sorry for this expression) are trying to take advantage of our good work.
A good way to judge wheter his membership status is only for advertising, is checking wheter he logged in again a month later.... or only did once to upload his ad!
just some thoughts
btw. there's just another one coming up: olamacau
(trying to get some traffic on his hp) an even harder case to judge wheter the benefit for us members is bigger or the ad is just an ad....
I fully agree with this great statement of yours!!!!!!

Great Point Rudi! :-)

Hi Rudi
You did mention the language barrier in several posts lately...
Sometimes this can be very funny:

LOL :-)) Hehehehe

P.S. it is not my intention to make fun of other members here... English is not my native tongue either [ This Message was edited by: mortimer on 2004-10-24 15:54 ] --- Today is the first day of the rest of your life, enjoy it!

I do agree with both of you guys.
I strongly agree, that he should’t advertise his travel and something else business in his roport. He can actually advertise in Globo, but he has to pay for his add to be on Globo in offering some of his services.
