Hi there,

please do post all errors you find on travel reports inside this topic.

Mortimer: I did have a look at the global listing. There should not be an edit button inside the global listing, but only inside your travel page. Was this by chance an old version? Do you still see that edit button insid the global listing?

Andy

Hi Andy

Just found out that the first three travel tips on every side in the overview section on my own travel site have the edit and delete button...

I mean here:

http://www.globosapiens.net/mortimer/travel-tips.html

Here:

http://www.globosapiens.net/travel-tips.html

I do not get any edit or delete buttons on my tips.

Martin

Hi Martin,

that is strange. You should have a delete and edit button on every tip, not only on the first 3 of them? Are you sure? Please double check that.

The global listings are not with a delete or edit funciton as it would leed to a lot of complexity. Members can always go to their page and edit, delete there this will of course also effect the same listing inside the global tips as they are one and the same data.

For those who are interested in playing around with the new global listing, can have a preview and test run here:

Constructive feedback is appreciated.

Best regards,

andy

Andy

I did double check and it's just the first three...

I just had an idea about the thumb rating symbols. At the moment we got always three thumbs even if we rated lower. The not given thumbs are just not that dark. I think it could be easier to discern the ratings if the weak thumbs wouldn't show.

Hi GLOBO staff ;-)

Just uploaded some tips for Paris France...

When I enter Paris in the city search I get the following screen:

Cities 1 - 10 of 73 Site: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

country province city

Afghanistan Ghazn¿ Parisang

Argentina Buenos Aires Parish

Australia South Australia Paris Creek

Austria Niederösterreich Parisdorf

Bangladesh Barisål Parisamari

Bangladesh Barisål Parisesh

Bangladesh Barisål Parishes

Barbados Christ Church Parish Land

Bolivia Beni Paris

Brazil Parisi

Site: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

When I want to change to site 3 where Paris France is I can click on the site numbers above or below the country and city names...

The one above takes me back to the beginning where I have to enter a city name the one below takes me to the right site...

In the previous Travel tip there was the possibility of selecting the country from a drop down list I don't find it anymore

Hey even after heavy testing you will always find errors ;-)

You did a great Job Andy!

Hello Martin,

I am impressed by your error finding qualities :-) You always find the most hidden ones. In fact that error must have been here for quite some months, unless it found its way into the code somehow in the last update (which is not unlikley). Thank you for your help.

That error has been fixed and one can now find paris with the first navi numbers. About the country drop down. That apears as soon as there are more than 100 results as ever.

Best regards,

Andy

PS: How come nobody else, has found that before? Strange, maybe it was really a new bug, or as you said one will never find all errors even with a lot of testing.

oh.. and I just wondered why your travel tips dont show up in the global section because they should be on top due to the fact that they are new. This is because they do not contain a picture. Default sorting is: verified -> picture -> date uploaded. Sorry about that. Maybe you will find some pictures from that places?

Quick as ever !

well I could download some from their Homepages and add them to the tips but I'm not sure if this is accepted?

Usually I don't do pictures of hotels or restaurants or museums or ... there has to be something special about them to do a shot. Moreover when I go to eat in a 'posh' restaurant the camera is not the common thing to take along ;-)
