On ash wednesday they wear black and white. It is the third day of their carnaval party. In the end they burn a figure which stands for all the evil in the world. Today it is more fun than religion. In Europe it is the first day of a 40 day period (I guess 40 days before Easter Holidays) without eating meat where the day before is the last day of the party. Also in some areas it marks the end of winter by hunting away the dark ghosts. saba - Jan, 09 2008 05:01am Hm , thanks alot joe ..
