Amish farm in Bird in Hand's by jorgesanchez

Lancaster - United States, Pennsylvania Picture taken between Intercourse and Bird in Hand. I walked between these two Amish villages. They stil speak 3 languages: old German for the religious ceremonies, a sui generis German among themselves, and english with the foreigners. When they talk among themselves (in the bus from Lancaster I was with some of them) you hardly understand a word, even if you are German. But they understand German well, and if you are German and talk to them they are very happy. They are all farmers, and every day, in the local market in Lancaster, they sell their products.
