Peratallada - Spain This medieval village in the province of Gerona is one of the best preserved in Spain. Its castle was erected in the X century and the population is only 450 souls. The restaurant in the square is not expensive and you can enjoy there, in the terrace, a decent meal (a glass of sangria plus seafood paella) for about 10 or 12 euros.
