Republic of Abkhazia. Morskoi Vokzal's by jorgesanchez

Sukhumi - Georgia Republic of Abkhazia is an independent country since 1993. It does not belong to Georgia. I entered this building, Morskoi Vokzal (the Maritime Station), on the right, to ask for boats to Trabzon, in Turkey. I was told that yes, indeed, they run an irregular service Sukhumi - Trabzon, but it is only for local contrabandists who smuggle goods during the nights without Moon light! Foreigners have to go back to Sochi, in Russia, and take the official boat to Trabzon, what I finally did.

rangutan - Jan, 03 2008 01:01pm Trivia: when I was reading the comment and the words "moon light" at 18:50 "Radio Arabella" was playing a song and the lyrics including the words "... take me to the moon light... " were syncronious. That shocked me and is very weird!
