Sleeping in Stonehenge |
|
|
One of the places visited lately that impressed me more during my last stay in England was Stonehenge, in Salisbury plains, near a village called Durrington.
I tried to sleep inside the site, but a guardian did not allow me. (I am very fond of sleeping in special places, like in the chakras of the Earth). Then I walked a few metres, opened my sleeping bag and slept on the grass gazing at the stones without the guardian objecting. I woke up early, before dawn, the guardian was not there anymore and I could enter and enjoy the place completely alone and even slept for a while more in the centre of the most internal concentric circle, the forth one, formed by the enormous Megaliths.
The feeling was overwhelming.
Druids’ followers regularly perform ancient ceremonies in Stonehenge.
