This Hilton hotel was just being converted into Hilton chain after a recent acquisition when I visited at the beginning of 2006. It was a large, typical huge hotel, like many other typical resorts of this kind - comfortable, with full blown 4* or 5* service. The bar, was below average, in terms of stock (the hotel used to be the 'all inclusive' where they serve awful, substandard drinks en masse), but the personnel was super friendly. The drawback was the lack of a nice beach, but Curacao does not have many sandy beaches, most are rocky ones. The surroundings were just ok and the pool was small. The restaurant was fine, but I guess it was all going to change to fit the American quality of Hilton.
