Muzeum Mikolaja Kopernika |

The museum of Nicolaus Copernicus is based in the house which belonged to his uncle, and it is argued where the astronomer was actually born. His father, who was a judge, owned a number of burgher houses right on the main square of the Old Town, none of which survived to this day. But those, allegedly, might have been the place where Nicolaus was born. Nevertheless, the museum's buildings are the most attractive Gothic tenement (burgher) houses anywhere in northern Poland.
