Crown Inn Eindhoven is five minutes' walk from the railway station. It is directly on the market square, which is one big outdoor café in summer. Every Saturday second hand goods and bookstall take over and on Tuesday the fruit and vegetable market. The Heuvelgalerie opposite the hotel is a shopping mall with small boutiques and some chain stores.
Spacious rooms with TV, mini safe, bath and shower. Breakfast buffet is a pleasure for the taste buds, a choice of bread, rolls, current buns and cheese. The centre of Eindhoven is traffic free. The hotel has no parking facilities but the nearby Heuvelgalerie has a parking garage.
At weekends the market square can be noisy, if this bothers you ask for a back room. The Carroussel, the grand café is a good place to try some Dutch favourites: Uitsmijter (two slices of bread topped with ham and fried eggs) or kroket (deep fried meat dumplings). Eindhoven is not a metropolis but a pleasant place to be.
